By lowering specific humidity, we can dry the property more efficiently and quickly. Specific humidity is directly correlated with vapor pressure. In other words, as specific humidity rises and falls, so does vapor pressure. Like specific humidity, as vapor pressure decreases in a room, the faster the structure and any contents can dry.

A commercial water extraction unit is your flooded basement’s worst nightmare. It makes water removal a snap (well, relatively speaking). These units are heavy and come in specialized vans or box trucks. You’ll want one of these after it’s done cleaning water damage, you just won’t want to see the price tag.
